Floorfixx

Floorfixx is the underlay system that creates an even, level base floor. Thanks to Floorfixx, wet levelling is no longer necessary. This makes the system ideal in situations where there is little time for wet levelling, or where it is not technically desirable. With Floorfixx, you not only save time, but also create a durable and insulating underlay that is immediately load-bearing. In addition, Floorfixx offers excellent impact sound insulation. All variants meet the 10 dB ΔLlin standard (HOA requirement). This makes Floorfixx the perfect choice for both residential and commercial projects.

Main advantages of Floorfixx

  • Fast levelling system: a smooth floor in a short time, without drying time or dust.
  • Install floor coverings immediately: the underlay is walkable and load-bearing straight away.
  • Easy floating installation: panels click or bond together, without adhesive on the subfloor.
  • Sound-reducing: meets the 10 dB impact sound requirement, so suitable for apartments.
  • Universally applicable: suitable under various floor types (LVT, vinyl, carpet, laminate, linoleum, etc.) in both renovation and new-build.

Frequently asked questions about Floorfixx

How long does it take to install Floorfixx?
A Floorfixx underlay can be installed very quickly. Because no drying time is required (it is a dry levelling system), you can finish the panels immediately after laying. An average room can be fitted with Floorfixx within a few hours to one working day, depending on the size. The new floor covering can then be installed and used immediately – no waiting time.

Is Floorfixx sound-absorbing / does it meet the 10 dB requirements?
Yes. All Floorfixx variants offer a high degree of sound reduction and are tested according to the 10 dB ΔLlin standard (impact sound), which is often required by HOAs. This means Floorfixx helps to reduce footstep noise, for example in apartment buildings. In practice, projects using Floorfixx are significantly quieter, which improves living comfort and meets regulations for impact noise.

Does Floorfixx also level irregularities in the subfloor?
Floorfixx underlays level small irregularities in the base floor. In particular, Floorfixx Regular (9 mm) and Comfort (10 mm) can handle height differences of up to approximately 3 mm over 1 metre, thanks to the sandwich system and the adhesive layer that fills irregularities. The thinner variants (Smart, Fini) bridge small level differences and old adhesive residues, but for large holes or protruding parts it is advisable to pre-treat the subfloor. In all cases, a level underlay is the basis for the best result, and Floorfixx helps you create that level surface easily.

Is Floorfixx suitable for renovation projects?
Absolutely – Floorfixx is particularly suitable for renovations. Because you do not need to use wet levelling compounds, you save a great deal of drying time and disruption during renovation. For example, in an occupied space or a project with a tight deadline, you can renovate the underlay in one day and finish it straight away. Moreover, Floorfixx can make old, poor base floors (e.g. damaged screeds or wooden floorboards) level and stable again. Especially in renovation projects – where every day counts and extra moisture is undesirable – Floorfixx proves its value as a fast, reliable solution.
