How to Choose the Best Anti-Slip Underlay
Using a high-quality anti-slip underlay prevents rugs from shifting dangerously. With the environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable Luxerton series, we offer a suitable anti-slip underlay for various types of flooring. This ensures your rug or carpet stays securely in place!
The Luxerton range consists of four different types, from an entry-level model to a high-end underlay. But which type is best for your floor? We’ve listed them for you.
Luxerton Superior 3 mm
This underlay is an excellent choice for use with all types of flooring—even marble! With a material weight of 500 grams per m², this is the most sturdy and compact option. Made of high-quality needlefelt with a double-sided latex anti-slip coating. An additional reason to choose this underlay is its Cfl fire certification—safety first!
Luxerton Supreme 3 mm
This variant is also 3 mm thick but has a weight of 250 grams per m². Slightly less compact than the Luxerton Superior, but still suitable for most flooring types. However, for marble floors, the Luxerton Superior is the better option. The Supreme is made of impregnated needlefelt with a latex coating.
Luxerton Standard 2 mm
The Standard is a 2 mm thick anti-slip underlay with a weight of 150 grams per m². Made from impregnated needlefelt with a latex coating. While it offers good anti-slip properties, if you want more comfort, opt for the Luxerton Supreme or Superior.
Luxerton Solid 5 mm
A 5 mm thick polyester fleece anti-slip underlay, specially designed for use with carpets and rugs. Thanks to the hooks on the underside, the Solid adheres to the carpet and prevents the rug on top from shifting. Due to these hooks, this anti-slip underlay is not suitable for other types of flooring.
Conclusion
The lightweight anti-slip underlays can be used with almost all types of flooring. However, the Luxerton Solid is only suitable for use with carpets. All options are compatible with underfloor heating. In short, excellent anti-slip underlays that even help smooth out small irregularities in the subfloor.
All Luxerton anti-slip underlays are suitable for both residential and commercial use. Available in rolls and custom sizes. The Solid is only available in rolls of 1 and 2 meters in width.
