Tredaire underlays

Tredaire underlay: Feel the difference, make the difference

Tredaire underlays are developed for projects where comfort and durability go hand in hand. With Tredaire, you choose quality, ease of use, and a solution that contributes to the lifespan of the floor.

The right underlay extends the life of carpet, limits wear and tear, and reduces the need for replacement. That means less waste, lower material consumption, and reduced long-term costs. A logical choice for both the environment and the project budget.

What is a PU underlay?

PU stands for polyurethane. These underlays are made from high-quality recycled polyurethane foam. They provide a stable and durable foundation for carpet installations.

Key features:

  • Comfort & pressure distribution – Resilient foam absorbs point loads, helping carpets stay beautiful for longer.
  • Acoustic damping – The open-cell structure reduces both impact and airborne noise.
  • Thermal insulation – The trapped air within the cells acts as a thermal blanket, resulting in energy savings.
  • Lightweight & easy to handle – Rolls are lighter than rubber or felt variants; easy to cut and install.
  • Circularity – As PU re-bond is made from residual foam, it contains a high percentage of recycled material and is itself fully recyclable.

Applications:

  • Contract carpet installations in offices, hotels, and cruise ships.
  • Residential use where extra underfoot comfort or thermal insulation is desired.
  • Compatible with underfloor heating for types with low R-value.

All Tredaire PU underlays are produced using 100% recycled materials. The collection offers a range of technical properties, tailored to floor type, load, and required performance. This means there is always a Tredaire underlay that meets the specific demands of your project.
