History

Estillon through the years

Mr Lokin founded Estillon in 1965. The company started in Tilburg, where the “til” from Estillon comes from. At the end of the 1980s, Mr Bosveld bought Sr. Estillon and added it to his wholesale company, Bohama. Sapphire and Floor-US also belonged there.

In 2006, Bohama and wholesaler Wijnands merged. Estillon and Floor-US became one company in 2011. Well before that, Richard Bosveld had taken over from his father.

In 2006, Estillon took over the distribution and sale of Roberts products in Europe and the Middle East. Roberts is an American brand of quality tools for the floor layer. It is Roy Roberts who invented the carpet slat and knee tensioner in 1938. The range then expands to include more carpet installation tools. For 80 years, Roberts has been a first-class brand for carpet installation tools, adhesives and haberdashery. By coming up with innovative solutions, Roberts continues to meet the challenges faced by today’s upholsterer.
