Estillon’s recently opened new warehouse has been built completely gasless in accordance with the applicable (environmental) standards. What exactly does this mean and why is this better for the environment?
What is a gasless build?
Gasless means that the building is no longer heated by gas. For example, by installing a heat pump, you can heat a room in an environmentally friendly way.
Why gasless?
The Dutch government wants to drastically reduce CO2 emissions in order to limit the consequences of the global temperature increase. Furthermore, the gas fields in our country are slowly depleting, and soon will be gone completely. In order to stay ahead of this situation, alternatives are necessary. These alternatives include heat pumps and solar panels.
Advantages
The advantages of a gasless warehouse are that you no longer need to have a central heating boiler, therefore the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning is eliminated. It also provides financial benefits. Profitability on gasless alternatives are high and tax on gas will be higher in the future.
In a nutshell, the new warehouse has all the environmental requirements that are demanded and is therefore ready for a green future!
